WOYWW 360 Lace making and new stash

Hello fellow Deskers! Good morning! How are you all? Busy making ATCs?

I have not got a craft desk at the moment as my husband is starting to plaster my craft room and build the shelving that he had temporarily erected out of bricks. Now all my stuff has to come out. What a job!

But i do have something to show you:
The lace I have been making is finished. The photo is not very good (apologies) and had it been better you would have seen the gold thread that I have worked into it too. Now it is finished I can see I have missed a few twists, but hey, who's going to tell when it is hanging in the tree....

The other thing I am very 'chuffed' about is my new stash. I get my craft supplies from a Spanish website called Mi Tienda de Arte (my art shop) and this week I splurged out on a few things:
They had the scrapbook albums on special offer, and while I was at it, I also ordered a few things from my wish list. Everything arrived the next day plus the customary complimentary lolly!
I finally got my brayer! There are some Micron pens for my zentangling and doodling (still haven't been able to source white pens...). And I treated myself to a small scorer.

And... (drum roll)...
I bought a journal. I've now got paint and a journal, so no more excuse for not getting messy.

This week I will finish my ATCs which I can't really show you as I'd like to participate in the swap (for the first time). Julia has officially announced the swap and published the rules.

I'm going to link up with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday at Julia's Stamping Ground. So if you were wondering what this is all about... Julia explains all about this blog hop on her blog. So hop on along and have a look.

Happy WOYWW and have a great week,

Lisca

  17. Oh that little bell is so sweet - what a lovely pattern. I've recently got my lace pillow out and dusted off my bobbins - I'm a bit rusty but it's coming back to me slowly - it's such a gentle and relaxing hobby isn't it. I love your new stash, it's alwasy so exciting when a parcel arrives full of goodies. I hope you find your white pen soon - I'm still trying to find one that is a strong white and not watery when I use it - it's proving difficult!
Have a great week using your new goodies,

  19. Lisca, that lace bell is beautiful, your tree will look very classy with that on, no wonder you are feeling chuffed. We were in Netherlands on April 30th 2013 so were thrilled to join in with all the celebrations as King Wilhelm Alexander took over from his mother. Lots of fun.
Thank you for your nice comments on my cards,

  22. Oh lIsca aren't you clever! That lace piece is lovely, I don't have the patience to make it, but I sure can appreciate it. It will look lovely on the tree! And if you don't have the most exciting and satisfying reason for not being in your craft room, I don't know what is!
We will be on the Costa Blance for a week from 17th - do you need white pens?Happy to bring some and post them to you!

    1. Oh, Julia, you are an angel! Yes, I really need a white pen. The one I had is empty. I had a Sakura white gelli pen that would write white on a coloured surface. Of course I will refund you. I still have a bank account in the UK so that's not a problem.
Which part of the Costa Blanca are you going to be? How lovely. I bet you are looking forward to a bit of sunshine.
      Thank you for visiting,
      Happy WOYWW,
      Have a good week too,

  24. Your Lace is amazing! And your new supplies will be a lot of fun to break in. I know you said you were needing a white pen and Julia has already offered, but I was going to recommend my favorite white art journal pen. A white correction fluid pen. I get them at the dollar store. I haven't found a surface it didn't work on.
