In my previous posts I have been telling you that I have been fussy cutting. I found some decoupage sheets at the back of my craft supplies and remembered how I enjoyed the cutting. I found it quite relaxing. I took the sheets with me on our Easter holiday and now I have been making cards with the decoupage I have cut.
Here is my desk with a card in the making:
Here are a few that are practically finished. The square card with the roses will get some bling, the lilies are condolences cards so no bling for those. What am I going to put on the 'male' card with the race car? Most embellishments are too feminine...
I'm off to the gym now and then I will enloy looking at your desks and leaving some comments. But before I leave you I will show you my customary postcard:
It is a not-so-spectacular postcard of La Calahorra, a village a little south of where we live in Andalucia. It has only 800 inhabitants but is famous for its castle on the hill (16th century). The final scenes from David Bowie's film Stardust (1974) were filmed there. Here is a link to some really nice photos on Wikipedia.

Nice cards. They may be girly but sometimes girly is what works best. And I think I remember that castle from the movie. I haven't seen it for awhile, but it does ring a little bell in my head. Hope it was a good day. :) Erika

Your cards are lovely, the flowers look so pretty. I don't think your racing car card needs anything more than perhaps a Birthday wish across the top, it's great as it is and I know several men in my life who would love it!!

I would leave the car plain with just the sentiment.

Cutting images is indeed a relaxing thing to do! For male cards I usually add geometric shapes like squares or circles just to decorate a bit, not too much. Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #26

Lovely cards, I'm not a big 'fussycutter' but Like you I find it useful to take on holiiday - it's the only thing I can think of that doesn't seem to need half a suitcase of supplies! Gorgeous cards and yes the paper will tear better if you wet it. I normally use a paint brush so I can make a lie to rip along. Happy woyww, Angela x 16

Hi there Lisca...agree re the wetting to tear handmade paper .. with paintbrush as Angela says.
Re the male card I would put some twine or fine string wrapped around it, colour to match if need be before it and couple of small brads in right corner if you have them :D i colour these too sometimes to match.

Beautiful cards. I love the teapot one. You must have really good hands, mine cramp up if I do too much fussy cutting. Sigh. Guess that's a sign of getting old.

I would think some twine would be good for a male card.
