A Postcard A Day - Tuesday 30 July 2019 - T for Anniversary ATC!

Good morning lovely ladies! Today is Tuesday and time for the T-Party hosted by Elizabeth and Bleubeard. My drink is a coffee. The words say:'For you. Good Morning'.

Now for my postcards: This one comes from Germany and I like it a lot. It is a detail of an old door. It actually doesn't say which door it is, or where. But the detail of the door knocker (it looks gold doesn't it) is exquisite. And the ironwork is so finely done. They don't make'em like that any more.
My second card comes from the USA. It is a map card of the state New York. I am embarressed to say that I had to look this up. I hadn't realised that Albany was the capital and that NY city was right at the southern edge of the state.

The state bird is the Eastern Bluebird and the state flower is the rose. New York state has a population of 19,745,289!
It received statehood on July 26th 1788.

Now for something completely different. The anniversary ATC exchange. I received some happy mail last week

from Almeria (about an hour and a half down the road), It was my ATC from my swap partner Caty. I found lots of goodies inside:

I was very pleased with those goodies. There was (amongst other things) a lovely card with a personal message from Caty, there was a page in Japanese, and also three serviettes. A postcard from Almería (she knows I like postcards), a beautiful fridge magnet also from Amería and a little airmail envelope:
 And inside was...
A colourful ATC specially for me!

A fantastic shiny background with some really cute little bits and bobs. I love the rose and the crochet bit. Most of all I love the turtle. Turtles are my favorite animals! (Of course Caty didn't know that.) So thank you very much Caty!

I sent an ATC to Sharon in Wichita. She has posted it on her blog but wasn't happy with the quality of the colours. She asked if I had a photo. Well, I confess I forgot to take any pictures of it.
So I took her photos and  adjusted the colours a bit. This is what it looks like:

And this is the 'holder' in the same style. The 'coffee o'clock is a sticker on a button.
So it was coffee and cake for Sharon.

I can't wait to see all the other ATCs. I'm going to have a look at them all now.

Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Stunning postcards today, Lisca. That door is amazing. Simply beautiful. The one that made me laugh was NY City. It has five Burroughs and each has its own unique flair. When people talk about NY city, they often are referring to Manhattan. My foodie friend Sally came from upstate NY. Her little town isn't on the map, but it is north of Watertown.

Caty's ATC is adorable. I bet she was happy to read you loved the turtle. Her card is very unique and the extras she sent were fabulous. Thanks for sharing your postcards and your ATCs with us for T this Tuesday, dear Lisca.

What a fun pack of goodies you got from Caty, Lisca. The ATC is wonderful. As was the one you made for Sharon. Don't be embarrassed you don't know the map of NY. My mental maps of Europe are very spotty too. When you share your travel pictures, I almost always have to Google the places.

Happy T-day! Eileen xx
