WOYWW 356

Good Morning dear 'deskers'. It's Wednesday again and that's when we bare all when it comes to our workdesks. Warts and all.
Well mine is full of warts so to speak:
We have been away for a week and it is an unholy mess!

The open book is my tangle journal which I brought with me on holiday. I did a few pages as you can see. It's this book:
I love the idea of the book and the tasks/challenges/excercises. But the quality of the paper is not good and the ink bleeds through the page. Look:
The left hand page has the pattern from the previous page showing through. Not good...

I sometimes participate in Traveling Notebooks. One from a girl in France arrived the day before we left on our holiday. Today I made a start by printing some photos.
I got allocated several pages in which to write something about myself, my village and a local recipe. Then I send it to the next person. There will be about 10 people on the list from different countries and eventually the girl in France will get an interesting book back.

There are some Postcrossing postcards there that shouldn't really be in the photo but fortunately the address is not visible.

I have been doing some decoupage too at the campsite. I found this book with everything in it to make a card. Ideal for the holidays.
I will leave you with this postcard:
Yes, I know, Easter has been and gone.... but I thought these eggs were so beautifully decorated that I wanted to share them with you. (The card came from Poland).

Wishing you all a happy WOYWW and a fab week to follow,
Blessings,
Lisca

  5. Lovely Eater eggs and never too late to show such fab patterns.
Wonder if you could work in your Tangle book with a biro - or would it smudge? Might be worth trying different pens to see what happens.
An internet group I a on just had a swap similarly to the one you are doing but I don't think they included a recipe - this sounds great (the one you are doing) - enjoy!

  7. It's good to hear you have had a good holiday and are now safely returned. What a shame about your tangle book. I really love those decorated eggs on the post card....I wonder if they are hand painted.
    Have a great week.

  10. Morning Lisca. Disappointing that the pattern shows through after all that hard work - spoils the next one... Glad you had such a good time away for your birthday.
    Take care. God bless.

  11. Those eggs really caught my eye. For one brief moment in time I thought I could make these beautiful pieces of art; but let me just say my hands are not steady enough. That really brought back memories for me! Glenda #30

  12. They should have put some better paper in that tangle journal, but I like the idea of the workbook. The travelling journal is a fantastic initiative. I can see how it works and makes a wonderful keepsake. Happy WOYWW. zsuzsa #26

  13. Hi Lisca, hope you had a good holiday. I agree, it's annoying when books don't contain a decent quality paper, or at the very least a paper that can accommodate what is expected of it.Have a great week,Hugs, Shaz #7xx

  14. The travelling notebook sounds like a wonderful idea. Zentangle book looks like great fun. Yuck, hate when the paper isn't good quality and bleeds through. My daughter has that problem with a lot of the adult colouring books.

    Have a great week

  16. You look like you've kept yourself very occupied on holiday. Your tangles look lovely but what a shame about the quality of the paper. I love the idea of taking kits that have everything you need to create something whilst travelling.
Glad you had a great time

  17. Hi again, Lisca. We were customers of Lakeland then as well. They were fantastic - and would make a cover for your trailer which fitted so well, and was so strong - ours lasted for years! We actually only wanted some sticky freezer labels - long way to go just for them... but had to buy a couple of other bits as well. Now I have sparkly specs courtesy of hubby's ministrations with his cleansing cloths!!!
    Take care. God bless.

  18. The tangle book looks great but it is so annoying the paper they use is so thin. I've found this with a few of my colouring books and wonder why they don't up the quality.
    Happy Desk day!

  19. How fun that you can find some nice crafting things to take along on your travels. That tangle book looks really nifty and fun to play with but annoying about the quality of paper. The traveling notebook is really cool and will make an excellent keepsake for the person it winds up with. PJ #54

  20. I can't blame you for posting those eggs they're beautiful. I used to do some circle journals that traveled around but since postage is gotten so high I kind of stopped all of that. It is a fun way to share with everyone. Happy Wednesday. Peg 56

  23. Hi Lisca! That tangle book is quite interesting indeed! If only they would make those with a heavier weight of paper, you wouldn't have to worry. Thanks so much for visiting late me! Since I got my craft organizer at Hobby Lobby, I found the link to the one I have, so you can go here and see what it's all about!

  26. Hi Lisca, pleased you're back though I suspect you will be off again sometime. Lots of interesting stuff going on though. Bit late today as I've been out walking.... yes walking not crafting, so trying to catch-up a bit.

  27. Thanks for your visit Lisca, had to spend 2 days with my sweet mom and her medical issues. This sleepless night may as well be spent enjoying visits from the WOYWW friends. Always love your posts, you keep so busy doing fun things, but I guess at our age that is what retirement is about !!!! For years I've enjoyed seeing the colored egg craft some areas of the world have been creating. My Czech heritage I guess....was a thing my grandmother loved too. Have a lovely weekend. Here Sunshine, 60's are forecast will be a wonderful change over this depressing darkness, rain and damp winds.

  28. I ove the decorated eggs, one can only hope they are ornamental in Poland, I couldn't bear to break them! And I I've to see the warts! Such a shame about the page quality of your tangle book, bet the authors were disappointed when they git their cities, it makes every other page unusable which is a mockery of their hard work.

  31. Oooh... a book that's meant to doodle and tangle in should not be made of crappy paper... that sucks Lisca! MAybe you could have a blank journal next to it to tangle in... Thanks for the visit to my blog earlier and happy (belated) woyww. Hug from Holland. Marit #33
