A Postcard A Day - Tuesday 15 November 2022 - T for countries you've never heard of

Hello lovely girls, Here I am again writing something for you. Today I have three postcards because they are all from countries that I had to look up on the map. Here is the first one:

This card comes from Serbia. Serbia is a country of the former Yugoslavia.
The striped bit is Kosovo. not recognized by Serbia as a different country. The population is 92 % Albanian rather than Serbs.

The stamp is lovely. It features Taurus, from the horoscope.

The second postcard is this:
It comes from a small village Petrijevci in eastern Croatie.
I have been to Croatia a few times. The coast is spectacularly beautiful.
The stamp features one of the islands off the Dalmation coast, Dugi Otok.

Telašćica is a 10 km long, 160–1800 m wide, deep inlet dotted with cliffs, islets and bays. The cliffs of Dugi Otok, called the stene locally, rise to 161 m above sea level and drop down to a depth of 90 m. Telašćica bay, which actually consists of three smaller bays, is a good, safe harbour for all kinds of vessels. The northeastern side of the bay is completely bare, but the southwestern shore is covered in thick forest of pine, olive and fig trees. There are six islets and rocks in the Bay: Korotan, Galijola, Gozdenjak, Farfarikulac, Gornji Školj and Donji Školj.

Lake Mir is a saltwater lake on a narrow strip of land between Telašćica Bay and the open sea. The lake is salty due to underground connections to the sea.

Doesn't that look absolutely beautiful?

The third card comes from Slovenia:
Featured is the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.

On these maps you can see all three countries I have mentioned.

The stamps are pretty. There is a Christmas stamp and the stamp on the right features a grouse.

What else can I tell you? As today is T for Tuesday, I will find a drink as my qualifier. The T-Party is hosted by Elizabeth and Bleubeard
Our eldest stayed with us this past week and he has a very strict diet as his pancreas is not working.  So I made corn tortillas:
They turned out fine and I cooked them without oil (as per his diet)

And here is my glass of white wine. (Yes I know this is a strange meal, but these were the only things he could eat. He also has IBS).

Father and son had some very special times. One day he explained how a certain music program called QBase (Which hubby has on his computer) works:

One more photo of hubby and me:

That is it from me this week,
Wishing you all a good week,
Hugs,
Lisca

I'm glad your husband is enjoying visits with the family, and I'm thinking of you.

Your postcards and summaries about the former Yugoslavia are very interesting. We have a close friend from Serbia, who travels there from time to time, but no post cards!

A lovely picture of you and your hubby!
So many people have restrictive diets nowadays. Thankfully, there is a lot more foods available to cater to them, at least here in the USA. I think the meal you made for your son looks delicious. I would eat something like this as I have IBS and many other digestive issues.
Love the pretty postcards, especially the first one.
Happy tea Day,
Kate

Son and husband look very much alike - how lovely that they could spend some good time together. The three postcards are lovely. What a shame that Serbia still doesn't recognize Kosovo.

Dear Lisca,
these are beautiful cards and beautiful stamps! I haven't been to Serbia yet, but I have been to Croatia and Slovenia. Your food looks good, even if it was diet - I'm glad that it tasted good and was well tolerated by everyone in the intestines. How nice that father and son had a good time together!
All the best rom Austria
and happy T-day!
