A Postcard A Day - Friday 8 February 2019 - Friday Smiles

Hello lovely ladies,
Happy Friday! For those of you that work: It's nearly weekend!
There is lots to smile about for all of us. We can all find the silver lining even if the week has not been so good.

Well my week has been good. But not very spectacular. I still go to the gym three times a week and cook lovely meals. I have visited one of my neighbours who has broken a leg and has to stay at home with her leg in a cast. We had coffee and a natter but I forgot to take pictures. So there really is not a lot to report this week.

Let me show you some cards. This one I sent to an animal lover in Belarus:

And this card was sent to a ballerina in Germany :

Yesterday I did some scrapbooking and made two lay-outs with photos of dear hubby. But I haven't photographed them yet so I will post them on my blog on Tuesday. The other thing I did yesterday was have my hair cut. I didn't want it too short as it is still winter, but the girl cut the back nicely, exactly the way I wanted.

And I made a cake last weekend as we had our Intercambio Spanish/English group at our house. A pineapple up-side-down cake. An all time favorite!

That was my week: short but sweet. I'm going to link up with Virginia at Rocking Your Week Friday to see what her week has been like, and with Annie at A Stitch In Time for Friday Smiles.

I will add some funnies at the end. Have a lovely weekend and a good week ahead,
Hugs,
Lisca

The quote on the dog postcard is SO true. Those ballerina shoes are incredible. That was a beautiful watercolor.

I laughed at all the funnies, but my favorites were the wine, X-rays, and dog chew deterrent. Those had me laughing!

Firstly let me say you didn't fool me by linking to last weeks post Lisca....just goes to show I do read and remember what you write :-) I love your new hair cut. Your funnies really got me chuckling. The first one reminded me of when a lady complaining of the behavior of a very drunk man and his reply was....I may be drunk but you are ugly....I will be sober in the morning but you will still be ugly!
Hugs,
Annie x

Hi Lisca, loving the funnies. I am betting you are back from the gym by now, managed to get there myself today though next week is not looking too good and might have to do some extra waling with the dogs instead. Loving the postcards and the new haircut looks lovely. Better get on. Have a lovely weekend, Angela xXx

Ah sometimes we just have quieter weeks, your cake looks amazing, I made one of those when I was at school and haven't made one in years. Hubby looked longingly at your photo when he spotted it this morning. I'm sure your neighbour was glad of your company when you visited.

I hope you have a fabulous weekend and week ahead.

Hugs

Hello, hello! I found my way here after a long break. Sounds like your life is going along nicely. Lovely cake AND hair cut! My son is just engaged to a Colombian girl, so I've decided to try to start to learn some Spanish.... wish me luck!!!

Hi Lisca. It sounds as though your week was similar to mine, (though not the going to the gym!). It must be a February thing. You posted two lovely cards this week that i am sure were appreciated by the recipients.
Your funnies were good this week, especially the water into wine one, and the anti-chew one. That reminded me of when my dog had a leg operation and the vet painted his dressing with anti-chew compound. She said she had tested it and it tasted vile. Our dog just licked it off! have a happy week. Kate xx
