Hello lovely peeps,
We're going to have a party. A T-party.
Elizabeth and Bleubeard are holding it at Altered Book Lover.
If you have anything drink related in your post you can join.
If you can't read it, the little rhyme goes:
One, two, howdy-do!
Three, four, you can pour!
Five, six, the cake I'll fix,
Seven, eight, pass your plate,
Nine, ten, come again!
This is how I would like my T-Party:
Yes, these are the famous 'Aunties designed by Inge Löök. This is one of my postcard.
Talking about postcards, here is the one that arrived this morning (I'm writing this Tuesday night):
It comes from the Netherlands and features the king's wife queen Maxima. She is Argentinian and is very much loved in the Netherlands. These are the stamps:
The person who sent it also sent me this: a vintage postcard of the wedding of (the then) princess Juliana of the Netherlands, king Willem Alexander's grandmother, to prince Bernhard of Lippe Biesterfeld in 1937. It's a real photo and I really like it. I might do a scrapbook page with it.
So, what's happened this week? We had lot of snow. Here is a picture of the view from my bedroom window this morning:I've continued to take it easy and, although my flu symptoms have gone, I still haven't been back to the gym. This week with all that snow, I gave it a miss. The hall where we do the aerobics part, is unheated and has a leak in the roof. We would be jumping around the puddles. I must go back soon though as I am putting on a lot of weight....
I'll leave it at that peeps,
have a lovely week,
Hugs,
Lisca

I love that darling tea party piece with the rhyme-never heard that one before! Your do get such interesting postcards and stamps.
Snow-still cannot believe you get that much in your parts. Hope you'll feel well enough to get to class next week. Happy T day!
Lovely T Party post today. I Love your tea party rhyme. I think I had heard that before, but forgot about it. I need a rubber stamp that says that, so I can make a card! LOL Happy T Day.
I love the two tea parties and you always receive such cool postcards, love the stamps too.
I agree if you are getting over the flu not a good idea to get chilled right now.
Take care Happy T Day Kathy
Your tea party rhyme is so different from the rhyme I am familiar with and it fits a tea party to a T, too! Of course, I've always loved the old ladies. They are a hoot.
Queen Maxima has been on several postcards you've received unless I am suffering from delusions. She is very pretty, so I can see why she is loved.
That snow looks bad for you to be out in it. Good that you have forgone the gym and stayed in with us. Thanks for sharing your tea postcards with us for T this Tuesday and please feel better soon.
Glad you are starting to feel better, and hope you are soon completely okay again. Love the postcards, those aunties are so funny, and the one of the wedding is fabulous, a great historical card. We had snow here too, the weather is crazy! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
I love the Aunties tea party, I think they are sure to be having fun. Your posts cards looked lovely and Queen Maxima is very beautiful.
You are wise to pass by the gym sessions, especially if there is heating problems and damp. I hope you are recovering well, it does take time to fully recover from the latest flu bugs.
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx

hope you soon are completely back to normal, take care!

Such a lovely T Party page and rhyme - wonderful 😁. Oh what fun, I love the Aunties postcard, they definately know how to party and it looks like they are having such a wonderful time! The postcard and old photo that you received are beautiful, I can't wait to see the scrapbook page that you create 😁. Take care of yourself and wishing you a Happy T Day! J 😊
Oh my, I love that tea party postcard! and like much of the world, have a fascination with royalty. ;) Glad you are feeling better...my cough is much improved, but has been hanging on for 4 weeks! finally back to walking. there were quite a few days when I didn't get even 1,000 steps. Do take care and happy Tea Day!
I love your tea parties! That view is beautiful! We had a bit of snow, but it's gone now and I'm wishing for summer :) Happy T Tuesday!
Great tea party photos!!!! Our snow has melted again but more is supposed to come tonight. Glad you're feeling better...it's a had climb up from the sick bed as we get older and the germs are much stronger this year :(
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm loving the new soap too. Used it last night in my bath and it lathered up so well and smelled so fresh ♥
Waiting for Spring :)
Happy T Day!
Carol
What adorable tea party images! I rather like your idea of a tea party. ;)
Your view with the freshly fallen snow is beautiful!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
What a terrific T-party post, Lisca. The first image brought to mind the tea parties I had with my two imaginary friends when I was three - lol. They were always lovely because I had total control.
However, I now prefer the 2nd version (like our weekly gathering) with real other people who can actually converse with me ;-)
Wonderful postcards, especially the historical photo.
I'm glad you're feeling better but wish they could fix that leaky roof, so you could go back to the gym!
Finally, I want to thank you for warning me about how explicit Outlander would be. I'm done ;-)
Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
Great postcards Lisca. The Tea one is perfect for T day. And Queen Maxima is a real beauty. I am sure you love getting postcards that remind you of your homeland. And you did get some snow, didn't you? It makes a pretty scene. :) happy T day, and glad to hear you are feeling better. hugs-Erika
The tea party postcard really made me smile. So cute. The royal postcards and stamps look wonderful. There's strength, beauty, and intelligence in Queen Maxima's portrait. Love the royal wedding parting photo. Like regular folk only with a lot more people in the bridal party. Ugh, snow. We're expecting more today. I am so ready for Winter to be over. Take care and Happy T Day.
What a lovely lot of fun here today! Love those aunties! We had snow at our caravan yesterday and a heavy frost overnight! It was starting to thaw when we came home this afternoon though! Belated Happy T day! Chrisx
