WOYWW 362 - an uninteresting desk, a wacky cake and Sevilla

Hello deskers all over the world,

I'm back again to join in and show my desk.
Not very spectacular, but I would like to direct your attention to the barely visible gas heater on the right. Yes, this is southern Spain, and yes, it's bloomin' cold!
Just behind the lamp is an electronic thermometer. It reads 12 degrees C out and 21 or so inside. Also against the back wall are the postcards I received last week and the postcards on top of my (closed) laptop are still to be registered and scanned and uploaded on Flickr etc.

The printout is a recipe of a chocolate cake without butter or eggs. I came across it the other day and decided to have a go. It was the nicest, yummiest cake I have made for a long time:
It's called Chocolate Crazy Cake. Click on this name and it will link you to Sweet Little Bluebird's site. And here is the really super easy way of making it:
I doubled the quantities for my 26" tin.

I missed last week as we were on a road trip to Portugal. We stopped in Seville for a few days. What a great city. Here are a few pics (quickly, as Mrs Dunnit doesn't like long posts):
The Plaza de España. Every province in Spain (and there are 48 in total) has a section like this. Of course we had to visit 'our' province Granada.
Some grafitti,
And moi in one of the many beautiful parks in Seville.

That's it from me today. I'm going to link up with What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday at Julia's Stamping Ground. I hope you will join me and show your desk too.

Happy WOYWW,
Lisca

Love your photos. I've always wanted to visit that part of Spain and also Portugal too. And thanks for the reminder about this cake. My aunt used to make this when I was a kid and I want to make it to bring back those good memories. Happy Wednesday.

Cold in Spain and pouring down here in England! We had our two days of summer over the weekend! Madness isn't it?
Here's to warmer drier days for us all.

Moisture laden air - not actually raining, but can hardly see out 'cos of the misty look - here in Wales, too. Has been extremely warm here this week, but a lot cooler today. Well, that cake looks something else! I must give it a go - if it works well in my oven it is something to add to the repertoire for church cake needs!!!
Take care. God bless.

Hi Lisca, I did wonder where abouts you were, as we visited Valencia, then Palma de Mallorca, where we flew home from. Your pics of Seville are lovely, so vibrant. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xx

Wonderful pictures! Brrr...chilly. I actually turned on my little heater the other day. I think it feels colder as the temperature is just going up and down. One day windows open, next day heat on. At least I know warmer weather is coming and that's what keeps me going!

Thanks for sharing.

Hello Lisca. love your desk and I have a space heater in mine that I hide under my darling husbands desk. I feel you with the cold it is 10 Celsius here and cold winds again I am thinking of put the heat on again as I work in basement. Oh I love the cake just sat looking at the screen thinking how nice it would be to have a piece....might have to do some baking which would warm me up. Going to have to take a look at the recipe. Have a fantastic week.Hugs~Anne L #9 also that's for the visit earlier

Love the pics of your trip! That's about the only way I get to visit other countries! We're getting quite warm, tomorrow is supposed to be 100*F. Yep, the air conditioner is on. The cake looks delish but I'm trying to drop a few pounds, but have made cupcakes for hubby's lunch box. Thanks for the visit and hope you have a great day!

Lisca, lovely photos of your trip! Thank you for sharing. I just recently printed off a triple brownie recipe, and made them for Bible study. Everyone loved them, and I had to print off the recipe for all of them. So fun to find new recipes. Thanks for your earlier visit. #43

Hiya Lisca ... thanks for popping by my blog yesterday! Afraid I am not super organised at all ... just determined, this year, not to get myself into such a tizz in the lead up to Christmas when crafting becomes a chore rather than something to be enjoyed. For several years I have been saying "next year will be different" ... and this year it will be!
If you go to my profile you can find my email address there I think as others have been in touch but my email address is philarock@aol.com so do please send me your postal address and I will get an ATC off to you on, or soonest after the 25th. Love to you, Debbie xXx

I hope your weather soon warms up - we are probably getting your sunshine over here for once, as it's been positively hot in the UK! I'm off to check out the chocolate cake recipe - it looks delicious - thanks for the link (not that I need more cake recipes!).
Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by my desk,
