WOYWW 354 computers and digital lay outs

Hello peeps! Good morning!

It´s Wednesday again and I am linking up with Julia at Stamping Ground.

I´m really sorry to hear that Julia is not well at the moment. I hope she can have her operation soon.

We are here to share our work desks, but mine has not got any craft stuff on it today. In stead, there is a brand new desk top computer. Tada:
It´s a desk top computer. The computer itself is under my desk and the screen and keyboard are visible in this photo. I chose a big screen. It´s quite a whopper!
It´s my birthday next week (I´ll be 65!) and I´ve treated myself to Photoshop CS6. I´m having a go at digital scrapbooking. I´m doing a free online course with The Scrapaneers. It´s quite complicated as the course is with Photoshop Elements which is not exactly the same as PS. On top of that, my Photoshop program is in Spanish, so it´s taking me ages to figure out what to do.
But I have managed to complete the  lay out of lesson 1:

That´s it from me today. Short and sweet as they say.

Have a good week all of you,
Blessings,
Lisca

A good layout Lisca . I really like how you've divided the page in half with one side being left white & the other using pattern paper . Happy woyww Jill #2

Oh that's a fabulous layout - well done you, we've got photoshop but I have never got to grips with it!

Happy new desktop PC and Photoshop! Your scrapbook page looks amazing.
I'm smiling because I share your pain...my PC and printer have options for Portuguese or Spanish only. I find it helps to keep a notebook of the translations once you work out what you want to do.

Wow! Lisca, what fun - an enormous screen, lots of new programs to get used to. Enjoy. Do I take it you have gone for Windows 10? How are you finding it? We had put it onto our laptop - but I see last evening, John has removed it again and gone back to Windows 7.... He couldn't play the craft CDs we have - so, not good.
Take care. God bless.

Well good for you, I think your getting to do a whole LO without giving up is great! Specially when the instructions are in another language, good grief! I found PElements was everywhere in my computer, but you get used to it. I don't use mine. Too lazy to learn. Love that huge screen, when it comes to viewing, big is better!

Happy Birthday (just in case I don't make it back) I learnt photoshop by phoning my son every day and asking really dumb questions. He is an Architect and uses it for work, so he is quite the genius. LOL Lucky for me he is also VERY patient with his mommy.
Happy WOYWW!

Yes, it was done on the computer. The cluster came with the lesson and was not put together by me. I think with shadows in the right places you can make it look 3D. (But I haven´t got to that stage yet)

No Margaret, I have Windows 7. My computer chappie said not to bother with W10.

Hi Lisca, it's terrible about poor Julia, isn't it - I do hope the operation sorts the problem once and for all for her. It is a huge worry for both her and her hubby I am sure.

Congratulations on your new computer, and that's a great layout for a first effort. Have a very happy 65th birthday! It's my 63rd this year. Have a lovely day!

Thank you for your lovely comment. My fingers are getting better but it's still quite sore typing just after I've had a practise session! My voice is improving too, so it won't be long before I'm up front in church singing! I'm looking forward to it. Glad you like the new stamps. The stencils will be great for creating backgrounds and adding texture. If you watch the video you can see what people have done with a combination of the stencils and the stamps. We have started clearing clutter out of our sitting room and already there's a huge improvement! We went to Range this a.m. and bought some new cushions which are a great improvement on the tired and worn old ones. Amazing what a difference a little touch can make. Mum is doing OK in the home but she doesn't make it easy or herself because she is always moaning and is horrible to everybody, and then moans that she is lonely!! She is her own worst enemy. She will be 95 in April.

Hope you hsve a great week and enjoy Photoshop!

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #31
