I still haven't got over the bug that floored me last week. I'm taking it easy. When I look in the mirror I do laugh because I look like a clown! My nose is red from constantly blowing my nose, and my nose has become infected so there are some unsightly red crusts as it is slowly healing. What a state to get in! ("At the price of chips" my hubby would add).
My postcard for today arrived this morning from Germany. It is a painting by George Dunlop Leslie (1835-1921):
(I feel a bit like the girl on the couch. A bit lethargic).
It rained in the night this week (It hardly ever rains here so that is something woth mentioning). When I woke up the terrace had red sand on it so I gues the rain came from the Sahara!
I went to buy some olive oil yesterday and had to walk to the other end of the village. I walked past a lot of nice houses. They all look something like this, as this is the typical building style here:
I walked along the only decent bit of grafitti we have in our village:
I always feel it is winking at me...
When I got home I was so tired I had to lie down. But on the bright side: I had done more than 7000 steps! (I have a Fitbit. I bought it in Holland while I was spending some of my money. My pedometer didn't work anymore. It was time for a new one)
Let's keep smiling. Here are a few funnies:
All in all, my week has been fairly low-key with not much happening.
How has your week been? I'm going to link up with Virginia at Rocking your World Friday and Annie at A Stitch in Time.
Have a good week with lots of smiles,
Hugs,
Lisca

I think I'm a little slow on the uptake thus morning cos I had to read your last funny several times to get it....and now can't stop chuckling at my slowness ๐๐๐๐๐๐ hope your health improves really soon my friend.

Oh bless you - being poorly is no fun at all, I hope you make a quick recovery as feeling ill really drags you down. Well done on the walk 7000 steps is awesome I love my fitbit - it's on charge as we speak!
Loving the duvet set - made me giggle!
Have a brilliant weekend and week ahead.
Much love
Hi Lisca,
The postcard is beautiful. Yes, the little girl does look non-interested. I hope you feel better soon and the crusty nose stuff soon either falls off or goes away!
The building style there is beautiful. I can just picture those houses all lined up in a row like the famous picture of San Francisco.
The duvet color made me laugh. It's only me and the dogs on my bed and somehow I am scrunched into a position that I just have to get out of after a while and it disturbs the poor dogs. They have it way too easy!
Happy Friday - have a great weekend and I hope you soon turn the corner and start feeling better.
Hugs,
Kay
Hi Lisca, I know just how you feel. I do hope it doesn't go on for too long. I am feeling better than I did but not completely better. I've been to the gym today but did feel a bit queezy at one stage but it wore off thank goodness. This has been a stinker of a cold. Who ever did the graffiti is a very talented artist, it's gorgeous. Loving the quilt it's very funny but thank goodness Maisie and Stan sleep in a crate at night but as you know they do like to escape upstairs when they get the chance but if I shut the curtains they get off and go downstairs so it's obviously the sun they like. Have a good weekend or at least an easy one, Angela xXx
Sending you get well wishes and wishing you a speedy recovery! Your postcard is adorable, I like to think the little girl is daydreaming about the story that her mother is reading her - it's a beautiful image :-). Wow, The grafitti is amazing, it portrays such a wonderful depth of feeling and I can see why it winks at you! The funnies made me smile :-). Have a happy and restful weekend, get well soon! J :-)
Sorry to hear you've been sick - hope that nose is on the mend! Love the bed funny .... but it's exactly the opposite here... I cling to the edge!!!! And love that graffiti eye:):)
Hope you are feeling better and back on your feet ASAP. I love that eye-more art than graffiti for sure. And your funny photo of the bed is not my house. Switch it around so I get the edge and the dog gets what the cat gets...but it did make me smile. Take care of yourself. Hugs-Erika
Sorry to find you are still unwell, Lisca. I do hope you feel better soon. The painting on the postcard is beautiful, as are the houses in your village. That eye graffiti is fabulous - much lovelier to look at than some that can be seen around here. Your funnies did make me smile though I'd say, from personal experience, the bed cover has got the proportions the wrong way round - the cat's side is about right but not the others :) Elizabeth xx
PS: My grandson didn't get to drive the car, he just got to sit in it but he was delighted with that.
Poor you. It took me a good two weeks to shake my bug too, and even though I am much better now, I still feel tired all the time. But at least I am getting a few things done.
Isn't the red rain a nuisance. I get tired of washing it away. They said we would have more today but it hasn't come, so perhaps it will rain in the night. I don't mind that and the plants appreciate it.
I like the eye painting. It is almost too realistic to call it graffiti.
Like Elizabeth, I think the bed covers are the wrong way round, but I am afraid the cats are not allowed in the bedrooms, so I get to have their part too! Hope you feel a lot better by this time next week. Kate x
