A Postcard A Day - Tuesday 12 July 2016 - T for tea and tapas

Good Morning T-gang! I hope you are all well!

Today is Tuesday and we share anything with a drink in it at Elizabeth's Altered Book Lover. I'm sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time, Elizabeth, what with the flooding (and all those precious books that got wet), and not having internet and phone because of the flooding. I hope it is all repaired and sorted now.

I don't have anything arty farty to show you because my craft space is still being tiled and painted. Next week the shelving will go up and I will be moving my stuff in. Hopefully in time for the ATC event!

My postcard for today is one that arrived yesterday actually (this morning the postman hasn't been yet):
It's all about tapas! The little snacks that we get free with our drinks. Guess from which country this was sent? No, not Spain. It came from Holland! And it was written in Dutch. Really special.

Talking about food.... I made another super cheese cake Saturday:
It has a pastry bottom and there is a layer of cherries (from a jar) in it as well. The top is crumble and almonds (and icing sugar). Very nice it was too.

By now you must be thirsty after tapas and cake. I will make some tea. This is my tea drawer. Nothing fancy like the lovely loose tea that Elizabeth got from the Tea Merchant, but just boxes that I buy in the supermarket:
My favorite at the moment is Liquorice tea (at the bottom), but in winter I love chai. The black box on the right has my favorite chai. As you can see it is out of date. Unfortunately we can only buy it in the UK, so until we go again, I'm not throwing it out.
I also make ice tea now it is so hot (and also ice coffee of course).

I will leave you with this:
Have a great week,

Happy T-Day,

Blessings,

Lisca

Lovely photos today, dear Lisca. I adore the tapas and know you have spoken of them when you are out and about.

Your tea drawer may not be fancy, but I have to keep my tea in the fridge, so you have a much better layout than I.

May I ask that you please link a direct post, rather than your blog in general. It often takes forever for the entire home page to load.

Thanks for sharing your tapas postcard, your yummy looking cake, and your tea drawer with us for T this Tuesday. I hope you get to your ATC supplies in time, because I know how excited you are to exchange them.

Cool postcard and funny how you got it in Spain but it was from your home country of Holland. And your tea drawer looks like mine, but I don't have any licorice tea. Sounds interesting and I'd love to try it some time. And your cheesecake looks delicious-and I love the idea that you added cherries this time. happy T day. Hugs-Erika

You'll have to start sharing the recipes with us and not just the photos and making our mouth water

I'm sorry Elizabeth. You have mentioned this before. Point is, I don't know how to do that. I know I have to click on the link button of course but I don't know how to compose my 'address' in a way that it goes straight to the blog of that day. It has lots of forward slashes and dashes in it. It doesn't come up in the task bar or I could copy and paste it. I will try my husband's computer next time and copy and paste in to the linky rather than just press the button.
Do you have any suggestions?

Oh what a cheesecake - yummie and all those teas --- they are super for sure... I also buy Lord Nelson teas here at Lidl - they are quite good and why pay more if I can get good things cheap?!! Oh yes the liquorice teas are so yummi - a blogfriend from U.K. sent me some bags a few months ago...just delicious!I haven't seen any liquorice tea her in Austria yet - o.k. maybe at the special expensive fine teashops - I haven't looked there
Funny to get a Tapas card in Spain sent from Holland...LOL!!!
Happy T- Day - Good luck with the craft room moving!!

Lisca, if you click on your own link for the most recent post at the top of your blog, does it not take you to the page for just that post? When I follow the link to your blog, I then have to click on the link to the particular blog post which takes me to the specific page for that particular post: http://scrappingcavewoman.blogspot.com.es/2016/07/a-postcard-day-tuesday-12-july-2016-t.html

Yes, thank you. I have been playing around on my hubby's computer and I can do that and copy and paste the address into the link. I'll do that next time.

Thoroughly enjoyed your post today Lisca! My teas are stored willy nilly all over the place with no organization at all. Luckily so far I remember what is where :) Love the postcard.

I love Liquorice tea. I have a box from an expensive salon that I oly take out occasionally since it's so pricey. :)
