Here we are again at the end of another week. Time flies by so fast.
I'm going to tell you what made me smile and also give you some 'funnies' at the end as per usual.
But without further ado, here is my first postcard. It comes from Germany. It features a section of a Colin Thompson illustration The Bizarre Bookshop.I know it well as I have the jigsaw puzzle of this work. In English the book titles are really funny, but on this card they are in German of course and I don't know if they are funny.
In fact it is a quilt! Isn't it beautiful! The info on the back reads:
This unique creation showing all of the Michigan counties was designed, placed, pieced and quilted by Marion Welsh to commemorate 1987, Michigan's Sesquicentenial. It is on display in the Michigan Forest Visitor Center, Hartwick Pines State Park at Grayling, Michigan.
It was sent to me by a class of 7th grade students from a small catholic school in northern Michigan, who use Postcrossing to 'travel' the world.
Talking about traveling... Here are some more photos of our travels to the south coast.
Here we are on a beach 10 minutes east of Motril. The beach is not spectacular. It reminded me of Chesil Beach in the UK.

I love both of your postcards this week Lisca. That quilt is a real work of art and love. I am glad it is on display.
We weren't too impressed by the Motril area either. We stopped there on a day trip. We were told that Almeria area is the salad bowl of Spain and Motril is the orchard, as many types of fruit grow there.
I smiled at your grasshopper photo. The bugs out here are not very camera cooperative, but you got him in the end. Kate x
Hi Lisca, you always make me smile with your funnies they are so good. The Grasshopper is a real character too. You can see his little eyes are watching you but I wonder what he's thinking. The cabin we're building is going to be a studio for me but also an excuse to sort all my stuff from the loft and have a good clear out who knows what I might find! Hi Lisca, very interesting cards and how nice that you received one from a group of children. Hopefully they will grow up to travel widely and sending postcards home. Love the shot of the cricket - your patience paid of. I think it's very possible my husband wrote that last funny - he's a great advocate of both WD-40 and duct tape 😀 Elizabeth x
I'm so sorry, my tablet when I was away refused to let me post a message. I love the cards as always. Your hubby looked like he was really enjoying the sea and you look like you had a fabulous break. Kate was also sharing insect pictures on her post, not my favourites if I'm honest, I'm not great which such creatures.
