It is a card from the Philipines. It was not sent by one of my Postcrossing friends but by Patsy, a Christian blogger from the Philippines. She participates in WOYWW so some of you might know of her. Their family have a publishing business called Papemelroti and Patsy's brother has designed this card (and others that I have seen). A few of the goodies in the picture we have in Spain too like turón and ensaymada (cheese bread from Mallorca) and Polvoron, (crumbly shortbreads).
Top right features Halo-halo, a shaved ice drink. I have never Heard of that but it qualifies me for the T-party. The name made me giggle, as there used to be a tv series called 'allo 'allo,
a funny take on the french resistance during WW2. The Brits amongst you will remember that.
I really wanted to show you the grape juice that we made. A neighbour had given us a tub full of grapes.
I have a juicer and I wanted to show you our glass of grapejuice. But when we had juiced it we drank it without taking any photos (story of my life!)
Our games evening went well last week. We played mainly Rummicub and we had a go at Ligretto, which was a laugh.
The next day my friend and I played a game that she had brought with her: Set. It has cards with shapes. 12 are layed on the table and you have to make a 'set'.
A set can be three of the same color, or same shape or same infilling. But also can be three different cards: different shapes, different colours and different infulling. It's a quiet thinking game. I really liked it once I got the hang of it.
My friend has since left and I spent the week slowly getting the room back to normal and washing all the bedding and towels. The room they slept in is actually my craft room, so hopefully I will get some crafting done next week. Watch this space.
Here is something funny I came acrfoss on the internet the other day:
Of course I'm not telling you to go away. And in the same breath I am saying I'm stopping here and get this ready to post.
Have a good week,
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Ha- love the street sign:):) great looking postcard. I'm always interested in foods of cultures other than mine. As far as the British show goes I bet I'd love it! Happy T day!
I now remember your card game. I think my daughter had Rummicub when she was younger. ANd homemade grape juice sounds interesting. It doesn't fill up with seeds, does it? happy T day. hugs-Erika
That street sign made me smile Lisca.. :) Mmmm your grape juice sounds yummy... I've not played any of the games you mentioned but i love a game night. Happy T day!! Hugs! deb
That sign is great! The grapes you got look gorgeous, I can understand you drinking it straightaway. Glad you have been having fun playing games, my 'games' friend died 2 years back and now there's nobody left to play, which is sad. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
*g* - that street sign is cool! about not taking photos before all is eaten or drunk up... i´m your sister in mind. hey, we are just enjoying the Moment:)
happy t-day (and Halloween, if you celebrate;))!
Wonderful card, I loved reading all the information it contained too 😁. I bet the grape juice tasted lovely, I was gifted some grapes this year and made grape jelly, it tastes delicious! The sign really made me laugh ...lol 😉. Wishing you a very happy T Day! J 😊
haha I love the street sign-that is funny. You get the coolest postcards in the mail-Your grape juice sounds delicious-on years when we get plenty of rain there are some nice wild grapes here-I fill up glass canning jars half full cover with hot water and can-after 6 months or so-fabulous grape juice-easy lol
Happy T Day Hugs Kathy
'allo 'allo!!! Yes! I'm not sure how my younger son came across it, but he introduced me to it and what a funny show lol
I've played Rummicub and Set and enjoyed both. It's been a while, but I'm sure they're both in the top of the closet.
Happy T Tuesday!
Yes, I remember Patsy. She and her sister Peggy no longer seems to post to WOYWW and I wonder why. Good to know things are still going well for her, though.
I've never heard of that British show, but I tend to prefer British mysteries. I am not fond of US comedies, too much slapstick and horrible jokes. I find little humor in it. I'd rather see the subtle look of disgust or inquisitiveness over slapstick.
Too bad your grape juice didn't make it to your camera, but I've been there, done that, too. I did enjoy the mug when you were playing the game Set, that I've never heard of. Thanks for sharing your week with us for T this Tuesday, Lisca.
I love polvorones, Lisca. We have them in Mexico too. I never thought of making grape juice. Grapes don't last long enough in our house ;-)
Goa Way - lol. I look forward to seeing some crafting now that you have your space back ;-)
Happy T-Day! Hugs, Eileen
That is a fun street sign.
The grape juice sounded delicious, and it would have been a great drink , so I can see why you didn't seek out the camera.
Yes I can remember that series on TV ' allo, allo', it still gets repeat shows now and again and has never lost its appeal to our family.
Happy T day wishes.
Yvonne xx
