A Postcard A Day - T for... more Denmark with beer

Hello lovely peeps, how are you all? I'm sorry that I didn't do many visits last week. Tuesdays is always awkward for me as we are out of the house all day . I'll try better this week.

It's Tuesday so how about joining the T-Party called T for Tuesday at Elizabeth and Bluebeard's. All you need to do is share a beverage.

Today we celebrate our 5th anniversary! So Happy Anniversary T-Gang!

My beverages today come from Denmark (again). We visited the island of Moen where we stopped for lunch at a nice looking place:

As it was nice weather we chose to sit ourside.
Our Danish friends did the ordering (neither of us speaks any Danish). My hubby ordered stout and I wanted a malted beer.
 This is what arrived:
The stout turned out to be liquorice flavoured stout. Hubby does not like liquorice so we swapped.
It was delicious! And this was my lunch. And what is that yellow stuff in the little dish?
It was an egg yolk. Don't ask....
This is a little church we walked passed and of course I wanted to go inside.
 The organ.
All the Danish churches we have seen so far have had ships hung up.
This is where the preacher would stand.
This is part of the organ.
 Another view of the ship.
This wooden structure houses the church bell. Sorry, it is not very visible.

I haven't got a postcard for today. I didn't receive any and I didn't send any either. (Must do better)

That is it from me today.
Have a fab T-Day,

  1. I'm with your hubby on liquorice flavoured stout, Lisca. Ewww. I think people either love or hate liquorice. I'm a hater ;-)

What a lovely little church. The organ looks quite special,

Happy 5th T-day Birthday! Hugs, Eileen

  2. I don't like licorice either and never knew that put it in a stout beer-
I loved the church with the ships and that organ. very nice to be able to see inside
    Happy T's 5th birthday
    Hugs Kathy

  3. I would have passed on the licorice flavored beer too... interesting having the egg yolk with your otherwise delicious looking meal. And the church- LOVE! I too love stopping and going into churches whenever I stumble upon one I hadn't seen before:) Happy T day!

  4. Wow! Great photos! Love the ship in the chandelier. And that pulpit is quite high isn’t it? I was thinking I had never seen beer that dark and then read it was liquorice flavored. Hmm.. interesting. Happy 5th Anniversary! :)

  5. I can't imagine drinking stout at all, but with liquorice? And a raw egg yolk for lunch? Sounds strange! Love the photos of the church you visited, I wonder why they always have ships? Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  6. I was most impressed with the church's ship. That seems to be the theme there, doesn't it? Something to do with blessing the sea, or something I thought I read several months back. I hope it wasn't just my overheated cough induced body and confused brain that made me believe that. Regardless, it is beautiful.

I LOVE stout. It's the only beer I actually like. But I've never had it with liquorice, so that was a bit of a shock. The lunch you had with your friends looked good, except for the raw egg. Not sure about that, either.

Thanks for sharing more of your time with your Danish friends, visiting another church, and enjoying lunch that included stout beer with us for T this Tuesday.

  7. Love today's photos especially the ones of the church, I would have been inside to take a look around as well.
I'm not a beer or stout drinker, but can imagine them being good to drink on warm days. I'd pass on the raw egg but the rest of the meal looks delicious.
    Happy T day wishes Lisca.
    Yvonne xx

  8. Fabulous photos Lisca - and a cold beer is the best beverage on hot days for sure!Delicious looking meal!
    Happy T-Day!
    Hugs, Susi

  9. A ship in every church.. how interesting... i wonder what the meaning is behind that?? Not a beer lover here but i bet anything nice and cold tasted good.. Envy you your travels Lisca.. living vicariously through you my dear!!! Happy 5th Anniversary T day!! Hugs! deb

  10. I've never seen egg served that way, but the plating is pretty. Presentation does matter :) The church is interesting. That elevated pulpit certainly makes a statement. It'd be easier to see and hear the preacher that way. Happy T Tuesday anniversary!

  11. It looks to be a nice place you went to but Liquorice stout and raw egg yolk!!!!!
The church looks lovely and the boat decoration is intriguing! Happy T day! Chrisx

  12. What a beautiful place you visited! Your lunch looks delicious and I could drink either one of those beers; my hubby doesn't like liquorice either, so I would have had to drink that one too ...lol 😉. I loved visiting the little church! Sending you Happy 5th Anniversary T Day wishes! J 😊 x

  13. That is fascinating how the Danish churches have ships hanging in them. And licorice stout sounds pretty interesting to me too. That's the fun about traveling and trying new things, isn't it? I went to Denmark many years ago and there food was also interesting. Boy, this is an interesting post you wrote today-hee-hee. Hope it was a great T day. Hugs-Erika

  14. yes, the danish churches are so interesting! i was there 4 years ago - i wish it wouldn´t be so far away (1000 km).
the recipe for the fruit flies doesn´t work for normal flies. normal flies prefer meat etc, thus i always place the cat´s food at the terrace far away from the door;)
    have a happy t-party week!!

  15. looks like a lovely lunch outside with friends in a charming town...the church is beautiful in its simplicity! I wonder about the symbolism of the ship...? I would not want to be the one to climb a ladder to dust it! ;) licorice-flavored stout sounds fun, too. Happy T day a bit late! ♥

  16. What a beautiful place Moen is. I love the pictures of the church. How very interesting that they hang up ship models. Do you know why? The food looks delicious but a raw egg yolk sounds not so yummy. I like my eggs cooked. Looks like an enjoyable trip with your friends.
Happy Tea Day a Day Late,
