Good morning folks! Here we are again on Friday! I'm here to share my smiles of the week with you. (No postcard this week)
There have been so many! We've come to the north of England to celebrate my sisters wedding to her long time partner Roger. (They met in 1971).
It was a civil ceremony held in the local town hall.
My mum walked her 'down the isle' (my dad died in 2010). As you might know, my mum is in her nineties and normally walks with a zimmer frame (or even in a wheelchair for longer distances.)
Outside the town hall friends and family were waiting and throwing rose petals (in stead of rice). The town hall official jokingly handed the bridegroom a broom to sweep up the mess. It was so funny and everyone was 'in stitches'.
I don't really have any funnies for you this week, but what was really funny was the night before the wedding, we all went out for a drink as a family. Just round the corner to the pub. As my sister was sitting opposite me at the pub table I noticed she had two different earrings on. She had done that at home to decide which ones to wear and got side tracked as she was getting ready.
It is visible in this photo, but nobody else noticed!.
Btw, the sign above the cooker reads: 'The only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house!' British readers might have noticed that there is an AGA cooker behind her. Such a waste.... she doesn't cook!
That is it from me. We are still travelling so it is a short post today.
I will be linking up with Annie at A Stitch In Time and with Virginia at Rocking Your World Friday.
Oh, you probably want to know what i was wearing....nothing special. Here I am:
Have a great week all of you!
Bye for now!
Hugs
Lisca

You both look lovely Lisca and your mum too! I was wondering were you were. The weather in the UK has been mixed but we have had some lovely warm days recently, it nearly always picks up as the new school term starts. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday. Angela xXx
