WOYWW - Wednesday 11 September 2024

 Hello lovely ladies,

Or should I say: 'Hello again'. Years ago I used to participate in WOYWW as I did a lot of crafting (Scrapbooking and card-making). Recently I have got my craft supplies out again and have started to make some Christmas cards. My craft room is now a guest suite so I'm crafting on the dinner table:

As I was watching/listening to the Proms I started to make a card.

Here is a close-up:

I suppose it's considered cheating as I'm working with a printed and pre-cut set  bought in the Netherlands when I was last there. So I'm gently easing myself into crafting again.

On the right you can see a set called Gordjuss, which came with a magazine if I remember well. (Obviously not Christmas cards but quite fun to do nevertheless.).

I'm looking forward to seeing what other people are doing,

Happy WOYWW,

Keep on crafting,

Lisca

Welcome back Lisca! I love the colours on the Christmas card there and who cares if it is pre-cut? You are sticking and arranging and we all know that those are gateway drugs...! Best wishes, Lisa-Jane #13

Now, I thought I recognised that name in the list! It's been a minute. Good to see you back at WOYWW. I did most of my Christmas cards at the beginning of the year but can't seem to get started on the rest! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #7

Dear Lisca,
it's great that you've got back into crafting.
In previous years I usually did crafts or silk painting in front of the TV, too. That was in my apartment at the time. Here in the house it's unfortunately impractical because the dining table isn't at the right angle and I hate having to clear everything away again during my creative bursts. I also always have my "leg massages" with the lymphatic drainage device while I'm watching TV in the evening. So I couldn't do any crafting anyway.
Thank you for writing to me about dyslexia. It's great that you was able to help your hubby. My husband also has dyslexic traits, especially when it comes to writing, but he's always read a lot. But he doesn't know any foreign languages other than English - we tried to learn Spanish together, but he found it much harder than I did. (And I've forgotten almost everything in the meantime, unfortunately...)
All the best, Traude

Hi Lisca my craft set up is very similar to yours and I can catch up with something to watch while I craft. I enjoy seeing what everyone makes no matter what it is or what they are using. Your Christmas card is coming along nicely. I only make about 5-6 now. I'm glad to hear that you are getting back into crafting again. take care, Michelle x
