A Postcard A Day - Friday 15 November 2024 - Friday Smiles

 Hello lovely peeps,

Today I have the heating on would you believe! It's 15 degrees out and 19 in. That is cold for me. I love my stove. That is really something to smile about.

Let me show you my postcard. (Another smile):
It's the naughty Aunties again. They are having a fun picnic in the woods. One of them is waving a key. I have no idea what that is supposed to mean., but they seem happy.

The card comes from a Postcrosser in Germany. The stamps are fun too:

The large one celebrates 100 year Disney.

I went to have my hair cut together with my friend Kim. Here we are, ready to take on the world.

My little Frankie is doing well, although the vet said that her lungs are not quite clear, so she has to go for another vet visit. But she's lively, playing and sleeping and eating.

Last week when Dian and I went to the vet, we stopped at a roadside cafe on the way back and Dian bought two 'pasties'.
They were freshly made and the pastry was nice and crisp and the filling was savoury with 'jamon', Spanish ham. Very nice indeed.

Well that were my smiles this week. At least the ones I remember to photograph. I'll leave it at this as I have still got my suitcase to pack. I'm leaving tomorrow morning (Friday) and driving with two of my friends to Cala de Mijas (near Marbella) for a women's Christian conference. It will be great fun. The road trip will take three and a half hours, so we're taking it easy. We have rented an apartment for the weekend (photos next week). I hope to meet up with my sister during one of the breaks. She lives in the next village.

That is all from me today. I'll link up with Annie at A Stitch In Time and I hope I will see you all there.

Have a great weekend,

Lisca

PS: I don't think I will have much time to comment, but I will do it after I get back home on Monday

Absolutely love the naughty aunties! Pleased to hear your kitty is doing okay. Hope the weekend away goes well and the drive too. As I was born in the 50s I think I don't need instructions to warn me not to drink the contents of a car battery, we were born with brains then Lol! Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
