A Postcard A day - Tuesday 20 March - T for tea pots, stamps and chilli peppers

Hello Lovely people! Here we are again on Tuesday. The week has flown by for me. I have something to look forward to, you see. I'm flying to Holland tomorrow to visit my mother (again). We had gone to stay with her over Christmas and New Year, but I was very ill, so I promised I would come back soon.

Here are some post cards for you. For a change, they are the cards that I have sent this week.
First one is the card with the chilli peppers. It's on its way to Germany. It goes to a young lady that collects red or blue cards. she showed a link to her collection of red cards and she hasn't got this one.
This is of course art by Alfons Mucha. This particular one is called The Zodiac. I have a whole book of cards by Mucha because many postcrossers request this sort of card. This artist was on the list of favorites of the lady in Russia that is going to receive this card.

Another German destination for the following card. The person I am sending this to lives in Germany and has asked for Word Heritage Sites. Well, the Alhambra in Granada (the city I live nearest to) is on the list of WHSs, so I hope I am making someone happy.
My postoffice lady told me she had new stamps, so of course I had to go along and have a look. This one is for mail inside Europe. It celebrates 100 years since the birth of Camilo José Cela (born 1916), a Spanish author who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1989. He died in 2002.
I love this next stamp. It is all about the potter (el alfarero). It is a large and very glossy stamp. I could only get 10. I wish I could have gotten more....
This yellow stamp with the red carnation is a stamp for outside Europe. It has a letter C on it, meaning that even though the price of the stamp goes up, this stamps will always be valid for mail outside Europe.
One lady in Hershey Pennsylvania collects antique keys. So she has requested cards with keys in them. Luckily I had this card for her and I am sure she will like it.
The small jug bottom left, looks like a saké jug. But I don't know this for sure. Probably not, as the artist is Russian.

I don't think a saké jug qualifies me for the T-party. So I will have to find something else that can contain a drink...

How about a contender for the most beautiful teapot ever:

Which one do you like best? My choice would be the first one with the blue  and the silver.

That's it from me tonight (I am writing this on Monday night). I'm going to visit Elizabeth and Bluebeard at Altered BookLover for the T-Party.
Have a good week,
Lisca

  3. Wow, those are some fascinating teapots. That colorful one looks more like a piece of art rather than a useful teapot. I like it though. Hope you not only have a wonderful tea day but also a nice visit with your mother too. Hugs-Erika

  4. LOve the postcards and also those beautiful, new stamps. Pity you couldn't get more than ten. The teapots are out of this world, my fave is the wonderful silver one in the middle. Enjoy your trip to your mother, take care, and happy T da, hugs, Valerie

  7. I love this selection of postcards and stamps, its good to receive unusual stamps on envelopes. The teapots all looked beautiful, but I think I would choose the middle one, I really liked the elegant look and the curvy style of the handle.
Happy T day wishes and have a lovely trip to see your Mom.

  8. Your selection of postcards is wonderful and thoughtful. I'm sure the recipients will love them. I like how the artist working at his craft is also shown on the pottery stamp. Very beautiful. Because postage keeps going up and up, we also have the Forever stamps. I like the blue and silver teapot, too. Safe travels and enjoy the visit with your mom. Happy T Day

  9. I love the Alfons Mucha Zodiac card, Lisca. Maybe some T-Tuesday you can write about where you find all these unusual postcards to perfectly each postcrossing partner.

The silver filigree is definitely a contender. That's my favorite too. I can't imagine how the artist layered the cut silver over porcelain or china.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  10. I am having a terrible week. I can’t stop coughing, my internet keeps going offline, and my keyboard works about half the time.

I realize I’m not a very good host, but want to thank you for sharing T with us this Tuesday. Happy Vernal Equinox, too. I love how you pay such close attention to what others want in their postcards.

  11. My choice is the first teapot, also. The postcard I like best is the one with keys. I have a lot of old postcards, but they are all scenery ones, from states or countries, I suppose when I have featured all my teapots I could start showing my postcards!
    Happy Tea Day!

  13. Great postcards this week and I love the stamps too. I really like the first two teapots but the third one would have to just be a conversation piece to look at and discuss it's uniqueness :)
Thanks for stopping in for a visit. I'm still messing with all of those seeds. I'll have flowers everywhere if everything I planted does well ♥♥♥
    Happy T Day!

  14. That first teapot with the silver is gorgeous!! Definitely my favorite. You always share the most interesting postcards and stamps. When you say you request them how do you do this? In a swap? And your stamps are unique. I love the pottery one as well. Interesting how you said a lady in Hershey Pa collects antique keys. I live a hour from Hershey, Pa. We love visiting there.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  15. Love the stamps and postcards, though I must admit the Mucha card is my favorite! I wonder how you acquire such a wide variety of postcards? exchanges? the silver teapot is very beautiful, but artistically the last 'crazy' colored pot attracts me very much too! *grin* hope you have a safe and fun trip to see your mother! happy T day a bit late!
