Hello lovely peeps, I hope nobody believes in Friday the 13th being bad. Today is Friday Smiles, so today Friday the 13th is lucky and good!
Of course I have a postcard to show you. This one come to me from Belarus:
It's not a great work of art but a pretty picture of a lady looking out over the lovely view from her room. Looks a bit like it could be the French Riviera or the Italian Amalfi coast. There is no information on the card. It was sent by Irina who lives in Mogilev, a beautiful city on the Dnepr river.
Google writes: Mogilev is a Belarusian city on the Dnieper River. It's known for its architecture, including the House of Soviets, a Stalin-era building. Pedestrian Lenin Street is home to the 18th-century archbishop’s palace and the Square of Stars, with a monument to stargazers and a sundial.
City Hall has a local history museum and a mechanical trumpet player performing daily. The Cathedral of Three Saints has 7 domes. ― Google
2019, Year of indigenous languages. (Who knew)
Irina also put a sticker on the card:
I like that one as I love reading.
I really am enjoying my cat
He is sleeping beside me on the sofa.
He likes to drink from the tap:
As I don't like him to jump onto the kitchen work surface, I bought one of those little automatic watering things. Something like this:
But my cat hasn't yet figured it out. (I only got it this morning). It's very silent, so he might not have understood that it is running water....
I suppose we are all preparing for Christmas, but for some people Christmas can be a difficult time. This is a little poem I found in the Internet and unfortunately I don't know who wrote it:
Those were my smiles this week. Link with Annie's blog at A Stitch In Time for more smiles. And if course I will find some more internet funnies to add at the end.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca

Lovely postcard Lisca. And your funny postcard about it being 1974 and that was 50 years ago is so true. Too true. I hope you have a super weekend. hugs-Erika
Ronnie is a beauty. Heseems to have settled in well at your house. I have a drinking fountain for my cats and one of them drinks gallons from it every day but the other one ignors it.
A very prety card today. It is lovely that you get mail from all over the world.
Since the arrival of LED lights, all the towns and villages seem to have upped their game with their Christmas lights. They are so lovely and bright, and often very colourful. I hope you have another good week. Kate x
The mechanical trumpet player sounds interesting (to tourists - we have.. aw, well, I avoid certain places in town at some full hour time ;-)...).
Sweet to see your cat. and I love that water-fountain!
My Mum. Today is a "creepy" day cause you fall in that pattern, I prepare a post for Sunday, do you allow me to use that poem?
Hehe, Calvin!
My SIL´s hair really is grey. Mine (knock on wood) still reddish.
IKEA, yupp. Your gear looks better than mine! WTF!!!!! Oh, boy, and the Cornflakes - I hope for Ingo turning into that man!
We do have cornflakes btw - have a great weekend, hugs
Hi Lisca, no problem I've had plenty of smiles today as we've been to see my sister-in-law and then a meal out. I'm late getting round though but sure I'll be excused. Nice postcard and love the stamp too. The watering thing looks clever and I'm sure your new kitty will love it when he understands how it works. I read your poem which could be written for me. My mum died in May this year just before her 96th birthday so Christmas will be somewhat different this year but friends have invited us to join them and their family which will be nice. Happy weekend with hugs Angela xxx
I’m glad your new cat is settling in well and has now sussed the new drink fountain. I have a feeling many of us have had a difficult year…let’s hope 2025 is rather better.
Hugs,
Annie x
