Hello lovely ladies,
Are you all preparing for Christmas? We have now arrived at my mum's in Rotterdam. It's lovely to see her again. We only manage to see each other a few times a year. So this is worth an enormous smile!
Yes, today is Friday Smiles and I will be joining Annie at A Stitch In Time with the things that made me smile this week.
My postcards then:
And also a haiku poem:
You know where love is?
Couples laughing together
Walking hand in hand.
The stamps are really lovely. The grapes on the left is something I never tire of, and the head of the statue of Liberty is very iconic. The middle stamp looks like a mural. Could it be one of the murals from the post office? It looks like someone selling huge melons.
The second card comes
from Amanda who is from Boston, Massachusets, but was holiday in Niagara. The card shows the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
The stamp shows an iceberg seen from land. It is from an original photograph by Michael Winsor.
The remarkable iceberg drew a flood of onlookers to Ferryland, a town of about 500, in April 2017, and made headlines in global media including The New York Times, CNN, BBC, Time, The Guardian and Russia’s state-backed news channel.
St. John’s, N.L., photographer Michael Winsor rushed to Ferryland to capture a striking image of the giant iceberg dwarfing the shoreline.
His timing was right, and he captured the iceberg framed behind two homes and a docked fishing boat, just as the evening’s lights started to twinkle.
So, what have I been up to this week? The whole week has been sort of getting ready to travel to Holland.
Then Tuesday arrived and we travelled by bus from Baza to Alicante.
Here is Hubby enjoying his breakfast on Wednesday morning, after which we got a taxi to the airport.
Here we are in the airport departure hall, posing in front of the beautiful nativity scene. It was a bit like the Napolitan nativity scenes in that they show the whole village of Bethlehem.
I have a few collages from last week:
That is it from me today. I'm going over to Annie's now and I will also visit Virginia at Rocking Your Week Friday.
I wish you all a very happy Christmas and hope to "see" you all again next week.
Of course there will be some funnies at the end. All with a Christmas theme (of course).
Christmas Blessings,
Hugs,
Lisca

Have a fabulous trip! And happy holidays!
Two really clever and unique postcards this week. I can't believe how much it cost the gal from Boston to send a postcard from Canada. The stamp in the middle of the postcard sent from the states is part of a set. It's from this summer, part of a set, and called State and County Fair.
You have really kept up on those daily scrapbook pages. I STILL want to know where the idea of mushy peas came from! I like them, I just don't understand why they are sold with fish and chips. Looks like, in addition to the great meal out, your husband had a great breakfast, too. He was a sport to have his photo taken in his bathrobe.
Have a really safe trip and a fun time with your mother. I know she is probably happy you are spending Christmas with her.
Not to be sacrilegious, I loved the "Savior" in the basket. That one had me laughing.
Have a super Friday, a great weekend, and a wonderful Christmas, too, dear Lisca.
Glad you've arrived safely with your mum in Holland. Really hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I hope we can share many more smiles again in the New Year.
Hugs,
Annie x
I'm very late today but wanted to stop by to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year. I love the stamps but you might have guessed that and the postcards are lovely too. I hope you have a lovely Christmas with your mum, we're off to see my parents too so that will be nice. Sending you big hugs, Angela xXx
Enjoy your family, and have a Merry time for Christmas together :)
Glad you have safely arrived at your destination and enjoying time with your Mum. I loved the nativity scene, how stunning is that! The postcards and stamps are fabulous as always and the funnies had me giggling. I hope you have a fabulous time with family.
Hugs
