A Postcard A Day - Tuesday 11 Oct 2016 - I'm back!!

Hello lovely peeps,

We got back yesterday in the night (at 3:30) after spending two weeks in the UK to see family and friends. I'm still in the process of unpacking and generally getting organized.

As it is Tuesday, I', going to link up with Elizabeth at T For Tuesday. Anyone can join in the party, as long as you have a drink somewhere featured in your blog post.
This is my contribution:
Here I am in Bath, an ancient town in England (it dates from Roman times, and is known for its Georgian architecture). We used to live near Bath and I love shopping there. We were hungry and sat down to have coffee and a Cornish pasty.
Pasties are savoury. In Cornwall the miners used to take a home made one for lunch down the mine.
My hubby is pulling a funny face but he really loves pasties too!

Now for my card of the day. This is one that I have sent myself at some stage:
This is how the girls dress when there is a fiesta in our region. So pretty, don't you think? Horses are very popular in Andalucia and dressage is what they are best at. The writing translates: Royal Andalucian School of Equestrian Art.

There was a whole pile of postcards in our postbox, but I haven't scanned them in yet. Next time I will show you one I received.

That's all from me today.
Happy T-Day all of you,
Have a good week,
Blessings,
Lisca

OooH! Another holiday! Good on you :) Hope you found all the family and friends fit and well.....we were in Bath on our holiday, in April. We've been twice before & I was hesitant about going again, but wanted to .... so hubby said if you want to, go! So glad we did....went to the spa for the 1st time; had afternoon tea in The Pump Room for the 1st time and a good wander around the Cathedral and shops. LOOOOOOOOVE Bath! See? Your photo brought back such happy memories. Thank you:):)

What a fun and impressive post. I learned SO much because I have never heard of pasties before. But I like savory probably more than sweet most days. I'm certainly glad you shared them with us.

When I was at the university, I made friends with a fellow grad student from Bath. He told me all kinds of things about his city, and showed many photos of the famous bath houses there. Apparently one is very famous and known world wide. We corresponded for years, but I lost track of him a few years back after he went back to England.

You asked about my degree. I use it in my consulting business, which I don't advertise on my art blog. Lately, I've been more into art than Human Factors, so my consulting has suffered a bit. After all, you have to go out and apply (sometimes it seems like begging) for those jobs, and I'm better at providing my services than I am at selling myself.

Thanks for sharing your postcard and your drink and pasties with us for T this Tuesday. It was a fun learning experience for me today.

Welcome back dear Lisca!
Two weeks away in the UK must have been dreamy.
Fun photo of you in Bath (we enjoyed a visit there very much a few years ago and wished we'd had a little more time to explores).
The Andalucian ladies are so colorful and lovely on their handsome horses. Must be a fun parade to see.
Happy T Day to you oxo
