This is a card, sent by Debbie from HongKong, that I received last week. It
shows the view of Des Voeux Road in the past. Debbie writes that (understandably)
the road has changed a lot since the photo was taken.
On the card it says: ‘Colonial double-decker trams
presented a convenient way to hop for shopping on Des Voeux Road where it was a
mecca for shoppers.’
The stamp pictures a beautiful rock formation on the
island Ping Chau (Hongkong territory).
It’s called Kang Lau Shek. Wikipedia
says: “At the island's
southeastern end are two large rocks known as the Drum Rocks, or Watchman's
Tower Rocks (更樓石, Kang Lau Shek).”
