Warning: photo heavy! (sorry Mrs Dunnit)
Hi folks! It’s Wednesday yet again. That means WOYWW. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, click on the WOYWW logo on the side bar and all will be explained.
Here is my desk as it looked last night. I’ve made little concertina booklets for the grandies and I’ve chosen the
photos and the Bible verses. You can see the alphabet stamps ready to be used. Now
all I have to do is put them together.
There is a little photo album of my mum’s with photos from
1932. (with my To-Do list on top of it) I’m in the process of scanning the photos into my computer.
The layout I was working on last week is now finished. This
is the finished page. I've called it 'Cuel Valencia'. The journaling is on yesterday’s blog. (sorry, I don’t
know how to do a link. Can anyone teach me?)
Now to our life in Spain: Last weekend was ‘Literary Weekend’
in our village. A stage was erected in the little park near our house and a
lovely red classic lorry (1940) with a brass band on foot, paraded round the
village advertising the theatre company from Granada who would be performing.
I
just love that lorry and followed the band all along the high street like a
little kid!
A group of girls were preparing the bar and were very keen
to be photographed for my blog. Here they are (I know most of them from the
gym).
At two o’clock the paella was ready. And my hubby and I (and some friends) went for the food and the drink.
I didn’t
think our Spanish language skills would
be sufficient to appreciate the theatre production, so we didn't go. But my friends said it was
very well attended and it was very good. (It was free apart from the food and
drink which was subsidised by the council and very cheap indeed).
Finally the sheep poo. It’s a postcard. (sorry it's not straight)
It reads: In the
magical, mystical mountains of Wales, sheep droppings are sterilised and
washed.... then turned into card. No trees were harmed in the making of this
postcard. A sheep only digests 50% of everything it eats. The rest is usable
fibre. We made this special postcard for you from.... sheep poo!
I don’t know if this sheep poo story is true or if it is just a
joke, (The card doesn’t smell or anything) but I thought it was funny.
We’re off travelling again this Friday. We’re taking the
campervan to England (via the Santander ferry) to visit children and grandies, then to Holland to visit my mum, and through Belgium and France back to Spain.
We will be away for 6
weeks. I’m not very good at blogging from my (android) tablet but I’ll try,
depending also on finding wifi.
Anyway, that’s it for this week,
I wish everyone a great week and hopefully we’ll ‘meet’
again next Wednesday.
Lisca

Aaargggh! My comment just disappeared - so no idea if you are going to get two comments! Sorry. Coming to Britain?? Are you anywhere near Wales?? If so, it would be so lovely to share a coffee. No blog from me this week as life is all a bit much at the moment... Margaret(dot)diddanfa(at)gmail(dot)com

I really don't know how I missed your blog yesterday...but I did so I'm sorry to be a little late calling by. Adding a link is easy Lisca...if you're still struggling please email me on wipso@toucansurf.com and I will 'talk' you through it.
How exciting for you to be coming to England....what areas are you coming to?
Have a fab holiday.
Hugs,

Thanks for sharing...don't feel alone on the linking up and your phone. I too have a LOT to learn on that. Love all the photos you have shared. Have a wonderful time and stay safe.
That paella looks so good. Shame I only have a banana to eat at the moment! I'm not too sure about sheep poo paper, but my husband would love that vintage lorry. His grandfather had a haulage company during the forties and we have some wonderful photographs.

I won't be buying any postcards from England. I have many in my box from the time we were living there. But I'd be happy to send you one from UK if you like. What do you like? Landscapes, castles or ancient buildings or Roman baths or the Bristol suspension bridge built by Brunel in 18 something? Beach? Modern?
Other people have said it's for real too. Thank you for the promise of sending me a handmade postcard. I won't be home until about the 10th of June though. But I'm looking forward to it already. Thanks.
Thanks for the offer to help. While we travel we won't have much access to wifi unless in a restaurant, so I might look into that after I come back.
We are going to Plymouth first, then to north Devon, then to Windsor, then Bristol. We're going on retreat to Lee Abbey for a week (again north Devon) then after the 22nd heading north to Cheshire and at the end of the month we'll get the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. That is more or less our itinerary.
I've heard from reliable sources that the sheep poo paper is not a joke. Apparently there is elephant poo paper too.
Yes, I saw your reply about the classes. Next year I'll be more organised....
As to our itinerary:We are going to Plymouth first, (first week of May) then to north Devon, then to Windsor, then Bristol. On the 18th we're going on retreat to Lee Abbey for a week (again north Devon) then after the 22nd heading north to Cheshire and at the end of the month we'll get the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. That is more or less our itinerary.
I'll be posting some piccies from our travels next Wednesday. CU then!
I have elephant paper, don't use it much, it's a horrid colour! The Welsh sheep poo paper is for real, have seen it a few times when working or travelling in Wales. I love the teatro idea in town, especially and naturally with the subsidised food....everything is geared toward being sociable isn't it! The brandies will love the little albums, what a nice idea. If you get to Windsor and find y have time on your hands, get in touch..I might be able to free myself up for a short visit! It's been a long time since I mooched around Windsor!
We'll be in Windsor from the 7th onwards for a few days as our son lives there with his wife and children. I'll get in touch if as you say there is time... We like Windsor, its a nice place to live. I definitely want to go to Lakeland as I always find things that I ' need' . Don't tell me there is a good craft store....
What a wonderful day that must have been and I love the red lorry too! Apparently you can also buy pellets made of lion poo to keep cats away from your garden! Enjoy your adventures and see you back here soon :o) Annie C #65

3. Highlight words you have written in post for the link ..like "see here" with mouse.
4. Click on link in tab of post ...near where the add photo is, to left of it
5. It will then bring up "see here" (because you highlighted it) in top section of it and copy the link in the second section... Hey presto a link! Embedded.
Shaz in Oz.x #63
Hi Lisca, laughed at the sheep poo card- it's probably actually true! I see Shaz left you info on putting in a link, if you get a problem, send me an email and I'll email you back with some pics to illustrate. Did I remember you saying you will be in England for the crop? Running late this week, it sort of ran away from me,lol.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz# 11 xx
