So I have no desk, but I do have a few things to show you. I bought a colouring book for 'big kids'.
This looks like real fun. I will be able to practice my non existing colouring skills. Here are a couple of pages
Earlier on this week I went to a shop that sells my favorite paint. By this I mean paint to paint furniture with. It's 'idiot proof'. No priming or sanding, it's water based and it goes a looong way. It's called Annie Sloan chalk paint. There is a shop near Rotterdam that sells it. When I bought some I was told there was a workshop the next day. So my friend and I went to that.
we were taught all sorts of techniques like crackling, decoupage and gilding and using templates. Great fun! The result is that old looking shabby chic type finishing.
We will be home tonight, where I can recover from this horrible cold I've got. (I blame it on the pressurised cabins on aircraft, concentrating everybody's bugs!)
I'm looking forward to visiting everyone again this week. I'll try and visit as many as I can inthe course of the week.

I hope you feel better soon! :) Lovely coloring book!!!! I bought one myself, and I love to just "putter" when I can't concentrate on my "real" crafting. It's something you can do anywhere, even if you are sleep deprived!! Gorgeous painting too!

I love your colouring books....I used to love colouring in pages like that. Annie Sloan paint is fab so I'm sure you will have lots of fun creating with it.

I love Annie Sloan chalk paint! I re finished a old dresser and bed frame for a friend using it. It turned out fantastic and was so easy. Didn't even have to strip the paint. She loves the french country/shabby chic style. Happy WOYWW :) Shel#55

I love the look of your paint samples - especially the crackle effect - I would love to get into doing-up old furniture and trying out decorative paint techniques. Your colouring books look like fun too - what a lovely relaxing activity. Hope you have a good week.

I like those grown up colouring books. Have done a lot of colouring in again since having our grandchildren :-) Keep hearing about that paint. I fancy trying it out on some of our furniture I'd like to change but not sure DH would be keen. :-) Hope you soon fully recovered. Anne x #32

I have a grown up colouring book too, and it is wonderful for settling one's nerves when things get to be overwhelming. Love the soft paint colours and the techniques that you learned. Sorry to hear of your nasty cold -- that is not fun, especially when you must fly. Sending positive thoughts to feel better fast.

Hi Lisca, sorry to hear about your cold. I do love the effects you achieved with the workshop- done on thick card, they'd make awesome card panels, lol. I am being uplifted by the prayers of friends around the world which is amazing. I don't know when we'll get the results of tomorrow's scan, but I hope it won't be long, although I'm dreading that particular appointment!!
