WOYWW 283 - Now crafting in the pantry!

Hello desk hoppers! It’s Wednesday again! (Actually, it's the middle of the night and i can't sleep. That doesn't happen very often, but when it does, I just get up and do something.)

Welcome to Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday! where we all share photos of our desk and show what we’re working on. (see: http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com.es/)

The time has just flown by! Our D-i-L plus one of her children came from England to stay for a few days. We had a great time. The weather was warm and dry, so ideal weather for outdoor activities with a nine year old. No time for crafting though!
But you are here to see my desk. Here it is:

The building situation dictated that i move my desk and craft stuff to the pantry! I spent most of Monday cleaning and moving my things. So, that’s where I am now: in the pantry!

So yesterday (Tuesday) I started crafting again in earnest. Christmas cards.

Last week I was doing die cuts of snow crystals. Here are two cards I made with those. Strange how on the photo the die cuts look gold colored. They are actually silver colored on blue.

I just thought I'd finish with a photo of my grandson a few days ago in a beauty spot near where we live.
Bye for now. Thanks for visiting. I really appreciate your comments.
I'll try and visit as many desk as I have time for.
Bless you all
Lisca
PS CSI Color Stories and Inspiration made me 'Star Witness' last week for my scrapbook layout "Me? Messy?". Have a look on my blog of 28 October.

Your craft room/pantry setup is still better than my work desk/dining table! Lovely Christmas cards! That photo could have been taken in America rather than Spain. Good that you got to spend some time with your grandson, but I bet you're glad that things are back to normal now. I know I would be! Have a great week! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #42

Happy WOYWW. You really are in the pantry! Useful if you need a snack. A cave house in Andalucia sounds just bliss. I love Spain and we used to visit regularly - but not had any trips abroad for a while. If I win the Lottery, then a house in the mountains will be purchased. Ali x #58

Well congratulations, you Star Witness--and I think it's great you're crafting in your pantry, we do what we have to, yes?

Thank you for sharing, Lisca--that really is a beautiful spot, so nice you had good weather for your family's visit.

Happy woyww to you!

Hello. Thanks for calling by at mine earlier. I can't usually leave you a comment but for some reason today I appear to have clicked on a different button and it seems I can comment. I read your blog with interest every week and get so frustrated when it stops me leaving you a message. I love the cards you've made and that last photo shows you live in a really beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.

Good heavens! Crafting in your pantry! Great shot of your grandson on that mountain side. Looks like the backdrop from a wild west type film! You asked about he molded items on my desk. Yes, I tested the one doily with orange distress paint and it seems you can paint it depending on the surface finish of the mold. Some of the smooth ones I have had to use alcohol ink on as the paint wont hold. The plastic is just too smooth. I guess you would have to use a primer on the smooth surface ones. My desk is a constant place for testing new products and ideas. I have a need to create on the cheap, especially when I have to kit up for 10 peeps in a class and cant use all bought stuff. Thanks for the visit already! #22

Gosh, crafting in the pantry sounds kind of handy. Especially if you've got boxes of cookies & crackers & candy nearby. :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

Lisca, crafting in the pantry, what fun, you don't have far to go to get a biscuit when you are peckish.
Like the dark blue card, and picture of your grandson.
Thanks for popping by my desk.

Hi Lisca...!!! in the pantry, my goodness, but I know a girl can craft anywhere (me - on the bed when visiting our son). Lovely to have the family visit and congrats on the "star" for your messy me page. Cheers RobynO#39

Hi Lisca - glad to see even building work can't stop your creativity!! One good thing about keep moving your stuff around is that it reminds you of all the kit you have. The Christmas cards are looking great & it's great to see you having such a lovely family time. Hugs, Chris # 7

Lovely photo of your grandson - a real beauty spot indeed.
Cannot imagine crafting in a pantry but then yours dow look like it is a big one.
Hope you make contact with Kate, she sounds a lovely lady - and you never know, Fat Susan might get to have her photo taken with you as well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog this week. I'm a little late in returning visits, still working on the snowflakes for the "Frozen" party.....grin

Funny how location is not everything to a crafter, all we need is "some" space somewhere. Poor Betsy was in a closet for years and much smaller than your pantry.

Gorgeous Christmas cards! I have started mine, but they are on the back burner right now.
Happy WOYWW....belated of course

Thanks for popping by the visit this week Lisca, it gave me the opportunity to repay the call and so glad I did. Love the 'pantry' look - I've crafted in some different places but that's a new one even fore me! LOL
I recommend finding someone to work with when you try mastering a new machine. Perhaps Skype would be useful if you don't have anyone living near by with a CraftRobo - or YouTubes are my saving grace when I have time and patience to watch and learn!
I'm intrigued by your cave house.... it sounds really interesting and exciting!
Enjoy making the cards, and I hope you enjoyed the time with your family

I know you feel like it is a real pain right now but...memories and think of the beautiful house you will have when it is done. Crafting in the pantry sounds like fun but I would be building menus as I looked around. I like the card and it is probably just a light/camera issue with the gold/silver. I can never photograph my desk/room without it looking yellow all the time. I even bought those more expensive outside light bulbs and it still didn't help! Sounds like the grandson had a fun visit...who wouldn't visitng with G'ma and G'dad! Have a great week. Vickie #68

Just goes to show you can make art anywhere and at least if you get hungry you don't have to go far. Your cards are lovely I think silver always picks up colours shining onto it. Looks like you had a great time with your grandson and DIL. Thank you for visiting my blog and yes it's difficult to get around to everybody. Have a lovely week Anita

How funny to be crafting in the pantry - but saying that I really love your big walk-in pantry - I'd love one like that! I love the cards you made, that's a pretty die you have of the snowflakes. Thanks so much for dropping by earlier - I hope you have a great week,

If my craft table was that close to food I'd be in trouble! LOL! But so cool that your pantry is so large!! Great cards. Funny how photos can distort color. Thanks for stopping by. My sunflowers was from a large stamp that had a die that fits if perfectly! I hope to be playing with those again next week. Happy belated WOYWW!

Hi Lisca, thanks for the visit. I'm like you and try to visit as many WOYWW friends as I can but this week has been a bit fifficult as I have hardly been in the house so am trying to catch up tonight. Love the snowflake card. Being in the pantry is quite good, if you get hungry you can just reach over and get a snack Lol!
Happy crafting, Angela x 40

I think that really says something about you know a girl is crafty when... she is moved to the pantry and the Christmas card making shall continue :) It's probably just the way the overhead lights hit the silver to make it look gold. I tend to have fits with shooting red things. :) thanks for the visit! ~Stacy #60

Oooh! A craft pantry! I like that. If you are canny, you could fail to remove everything back to your regular room, and end up with 2 rooms lol! Eventually you could take over the whole house! Love your snowflakes.

Thanks for your lovely visit and comment - and I'm glad you like the album. Beatrice seems well eough in herself and is certainly getting lots of TLC from us all!

Thank you so much for your prayers. They are much appreciated. Things are not easy at the moment, but the situation has quietened down a bit, at least for now!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi there. I am SO late visiting this week.
What a place for crafting - no need to stop for meal times - just raise your eyes and your hands will find something really tasty!!! Your cards look good - the silver does look rather gold, doesn't it? How strange.
The funeral celebration was amazing - two hours honouring God for His work through Ken - a dear, faithful CMS missionary. Tributes and guests poured in from all over the world for this dear friend. It has been a real privilege to have known him for 27 years. His widow looks incredible. There she stood in the service, over 80 herself, looking just great in stiletto heels and a great, colourful outfit, to celebrate her husband's life and His new life now with Father God!
Take care. God bless.

You are a "roll with the punches" kind of girl --- good for you! Living in the cave must be a fun adventure. On the other hand, it will be so much fun to move into your new house too! Visits from the grandkids are grand, aren't they? Your grandson is a handsome boy and that scenery is yummy. Thanks for sharing and happy crafting. :) Nann #52
