And you did a fair bit of research on the stamps too. It ads to the interest of your hobby, so it is good that we can learn so much about anything if we want to now.
The gift for your friend was very thoughtful. i am sure she will enjoy looking through your book for a long time to come.
I like the 'black night'. We've been to the coast as this will be the last time for a while as the schools broke up today and it will be too busy for a while. Your funnies today are brilliant and love the postcards too. You asked about the Orchid which is a Vanda. These Orchids are either hung up like this or kept in a large jar. Either way you simply soak the roots until they turn green and then allow them to dry out. I do this a couple of time a week and feed it too. I have had this one for about five years so guessing it must be fairly happy as it keeps flowering. Still no idea what the flower in the pond is, I can only think the birds must have dropped the seeds and yes I am happy for it to be there. I didn't do any of the workshops at the show this time, just went for the shopping. The main company I wanted to see was Stampers Grove, they sell lots of stamps that I like but as they are based in Scotland this is a good chance to shop though they are on-line too. Thanks for the visit to mine and have a lovely weekend, Angela xxxFelix the Crafty Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14275183935291510409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-1385891551158397832018-07-20T18:36:35.742+02:002018-07-20T18:36:35.742+02:00Lisca, you asked about the children in my post. Y...Lisca, you asked about the children in my post. Yes, I knew their mother and she entrusted me with them while she was in the hospital dying. She and I had gone to grad school together, so we were good friends. The children knew me well, too, even before I took care of them while their mother was dying. I watched as one was born and two were toddlers. I was thrilled they wanted to visit me this summer. We've done several fun things together.Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-17653060494239548182018-07-20T14:46:49.174+02:002018-07-20T14:46:49.174+02:00Thanks for joining in the fun again this week . I taught 6 Downs Syndrome children every Saturday for about a year. Sadly, I had no funds and everything we made was out of my pocket. I finally had to give up because the kids were sweet, but I had no sponsors and the out of pocket cash was eating me alive (a meal, art supplies, etc).

I guess you know which funny I laughed at the hardest!!!!Bleubeard and Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10149710375520733752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-70013760608616145692018-07-20T00:52:50.244+02:002018-07-20T00:52:50.244+02:00Nice funnies this week Lisca. They can do so much for them now and it is good to see that they can live long lives-at least compared to my uncle. And for some reason your first comment on my T day post showed up right before your second comment. Wonder why it took it so long to appear? Have a wonderful weekend.
