Your cooker looks great. I wish mine was wide as that. The cave houses always look delightful to me, but I know I wouldn't be happy living in one. How nice to meet up with other lace makers. I work in the 'English style' and it is very different from the way the Spanish ladies do it, but I have enjoyed sharing ideas with some of them. I keep putting mine on hold as there are so many other things I want to do, but I am hoping to dust it off this year and have another go. We'll have to get together again and share some tips one day. Must tell you about a great drawer my DH made that fits in the kickboard space under my kitchen cupboards...saw it on Pinterest on the net - not something you see in Australia. Anyway have a fabulous week RobynRobyn Oliverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15696500498643518734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-15832936882435083692016-02-06T22:31:20.405+01:002016-02-06T22:31:20.405+01:00Yes, I'd like an AGA too. Then you have to be able to afford to run it all the time because there's no point in firing it up when you want to cook something. So there goes my dream of an AGA.... This is the next best thing though.
Great that you are a lacemaker too. Julia mentioned it. I have lots of patterns if you are interested. Literally hundreds. The little circle you saw on the photo I have step-by-step instructions for, that my lace making teacher typed out for me before I left the UK. I also have lots of books. I have my own but i have also got my mum's books and those of her friend. My next project is making some Christmas decorations. I want to make an angel and some stars to hang in the tree.
I'm on Facebook under Lisca Meijer and my email address is liscameijer at rocketmaildotcom.
Thanks for your visit,
Have a smiley week,
LiscaLiscahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06055538730629891703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-77904205950824502312016-02-06T19:06:46.308+01:002016-02-06T19:06:46.308+01:00I love to see the pcs and stamps and this one is a...I love to see the pcs and stamps and this one is a gem. Great chuckle too.
I am suffering a major envy crisis as your cooker/oven is almost as big as my little kitchen. When Hubby and I went to States, I managed to find a lace maker at Plymouth Rock. She let me photograph two of her books, one of which she was working on the pattern. Didn't expect to see a lacemaker in US!!
That cooker looks fab. I would love an Aga if I was home more to utilise it!
Hugs and have a great week.
xxxHettiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16986816219598719681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-32166146730683433332016-02-05T21:36:57.419+01:002016-02-05T21:36:57.419+01:00A beautiful girl on this postcard and the oven is ...A beautiful girl on this postcard and the oven is just AMAZING!
Happy weekend Lisca!
oxo
Susifroebelsternchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06501600240752195171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6549829449802315358.post-77275226970089027212016-02-05T21:19:04.770+01:002016-02-05T21:19:04.770+01:00Hi Lisca. My son suffers badly from SAD, he lives in north-east Scotland where there's very few hours of daylight in winter, so I have some idea of what you are going through. Another lovely post. Your cooker looks fabulous. I particularly like the photo of the market stall - very tempting. And the funny has me chuckling still :) Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
